During a recent interview coach Krzyzewski said that he wouldn't talk about their injury report. He added that the blue devils don't discuss their injuries "unlike other schools."
While coach K never mentioned North Carolina by name, coach Roy Williams took exception to the comment and felt the statement was a shot at his team. Williams fired back on his radio show saying "coach their own damn team, I'll coach my team."
Williams in the past has gone on record of saying he has a tremendous amount of respect for Krzyzewski. But he said he felt the comment was a shot at his coaching decisions and his team.
This entire situation may be being blown out of proportion by the media. But this is without a doubt the biggest rivalry in college basketball, and to some; the biggest rivalry in all sports. Roy Williams is taking a big risk either way by drawing all this negative attention to his team and could be playing into coach K's hands.
Duke and North Carolina play later this year at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
