In case you didn't know, there's another team in Tennessee besides the Vols and the Memphis Tigers. That team would be Vanderbilt; the 14th ranked team in the country that throughout this season has been overshadowed by the powerhouses that are Tennessee and Memphis. All of that should change now however after Vandy knocked off the No.1 team in the country wednesday night(Tennessee) in a tight 72-69 game.
Shane Foster led the way for Vanderbilt with 32 points after going 6-9 behind the three-point line.
Although the game is being considered an upset, coming into the game Vanderbilt had won 16 in a row at home. And they were ranked 14th in the country with the game being an in-state rivalry.
Being the No.1 team in the country was short lived for Tennessee who had the seed for only a day. Tennessee just came off their big win over Memphis to earn the spot, but will now fall after the loss making the way for what will most likely be North Carolina sitting at No.1
